St. Mary’s College Mayenze has launched a new education support programme aimed at helping talented, hardworking and vulnerable Ugandan students access quality education despite financial challenges.
Under the initiative, students who demonstrate exceptional ability in academics, sports and other areas of talent can qualify for a 50 percent reduction in tuition fees, giving deserving learners an opportunity to continue their studies at a reduced cost.

The school is also targeting high-performing pupils completing primary education. Candidates who sit the Primary Leaving Examinations and score aggregates between 4 and 14 will be considered for bursary support as they seek admission to the institution.
Parents who pay their children’s school fees within the first two weeks of a new term will also benefit from a 2 percent discount. The incentive is intended to encourage timely payment while reducing the financial pressure associated with school fees.

Academic excellence is being rewarded as well. Students who attain seven or more distinctions will qualify for either a UGX 50,000 cash reward or partial tuition sponsorship, providing an additional incentive for learners to maintain strong academic performance.
The programme also provides special support to students who have lost a parent. Learners whose fathers have died will receive a 50 percent fee reduction, while those who have lost their mothers will qualify for a 25 percent reduction.
Beyond financial assistance, the school says it is focused on nurturing students academically, spiritually and morally through activities including daily prayers, Holy Mass and Scripture Union fellowships.
St. Mary’s College Mayenze says the initiative reflects its commitment to giving talented and vulnerable young Ugandans greater opportunities while preparing them for responsible leadership and citizenship. Parents and students seeking further information can contact the school on +256 782 785625.
