The announcement was made during a recent church service, where Kakande spoke about the need to create a special environment for children who attend prayers with their parents and other family members.

According to Kakande, the planned Sunday school will be designed to provide children with a comfortable and enjoyable space where they can learn, play and participate in activities while their parents attend church services.

The prophet explained that he wants the facility to have various things that children need to enjoy their time at church, saying the aim is to make them feel comfortable and welcomed whenever they come for prayers.

Kakande said the project is part of his broader plans to improve the facilities at his new church and create an environment that caters for different categories of worshippers.

Among those who reportedly pledged a significant amount was businesswoman Dr Ritah Katana-Bridal, who announced that she would contribute Shs100 million towards the project.

Her pledge reportedly attracted attention among other worshippers, with several members also coming forward to make their own financial commitments.

The contributions continued as different church members pledged varying amounts of money towards the project, creating excitement among those attending the service.

Kakande reportedly welcomed the contributions, saying the planned facility would benefit families who regularly attend services at the church.

The Sunday school is expected to provide children with a dedicated place where they can engage in activities while also being introduced to Christian teachings.

The project comes as Kakande continues to develop his new church facilities, which have attracted attention because of their size and the plans associated with the ministry.

Church members have reportedly expressed interest in seeing the Sunday school completed, particularly because many families attend services together with their children.

The idea is also expected to make it easier for parents to concentrate on prayers and sermons while their children are engaged in supervised activities within the church premises.

Kakande’s announcement has therefore been received as an important addition to the church’s plans, with members being encouraged to participate in making the project successful.

The prophet told worshippers that the facility would be equipped with various things designed to entertain and support children during their time at church.

The fundraising effort demonstrates the level of financial support some members are willing to provide towards projects initiated by the ministry.

The Kakande Ministries is known for its prophetic services, healing sessions, spiritual deliverance and emphasis on faith and works.

Over the years, the ministry has attracted large numbers of followers who attend services seeking spiritual guidance, prayer and other forms of religious support.

With the new Sunday school project now underway, attention will turn to how quickly the contributions can be mobilised and how the planned first-class facility will eventually look once completed.
