The school is offering a 50 percent tuition fee reduction to students who demonstrate outstanding potential in academics, sports or other areas of talent. The programme is intended to identify promising learners and provide them with an opportunity to develop their abilities in a supportive school environment.

Primary school leavers will also have an opportunity to benefit from the initiative. Pupils who sit their Primary Leaving Examinations and obtain aggregates between 4 and 14 will be considered for bursary support, potentially reducing the cost of joining the school for high-performing learners.

St. Mary’s College Mayenze has also introduced a fee-payment incentive for parents. Families that settle their children’s fees within the first two weeks of the term will receive a 2 percent discount, giving parents an additional financial benefit while encouraging timely payment of school fees.
Students who excel academically will not be left out of the rewards programme. Those who achieve seven or more distinctions will qualify for either UGX 50,000 in cash or partial tuition sponsorship, providing an added incentive for learners to remain focused on their studies and pursue excellent results.
The school has also considered learners experiencing difficult family circumstances. Students who have lost their fathers will qualify for a 50 percent fee reduction, while those who have lost their mothers will receive a 25 percent reduction to help them remain in school despite the loss of a parent.
According to the institution, its education programme extends beyond academic performance and financial support. Students are also encouraged to develop strong moral and spiritual values through daily prayers, Holy Mass and Scripture Union fellowships, with the aim of producing disciplined and responsible young people.
St. Mary’s College Mayenze says the initiative is part of its commitment to expanding educational opportunities for talented and vulnerable Ugandan children and preparing them for future leadership.
