In his testimony delivered at Kakande’s church, Kabyobyo described the injuries he sustained, the challenges he faced during recovery and what he said was a remarkable improvement in his condition after receiving prayers.

“My name is Abbas Kabyobyo, Bebe Cool’s bodyguard. I was shot six bullets. Two bullets in my left leg, two in my right hand and the remaining two in my right abdomen. I went to Nsambya Hospital and the doctors treated me,” Kabyobyo said.

He explained that the injuries were severe, particularly the fractures, which he said raised concerns among the medical personnel treating him.

According to Kabyobyo, Dr Okello, whom he identified as the head of Nsambya Hospital at the time, told his caretakers that his chances of recovery were about 50 per cent because of the severity of the fractures.

After approximately one month of treatment, Kabyobyo said he was discharged from hospital but remained in a critical condition and struggled to perform even basic daily activities.

“I couldn’t do anything and whenever I felt like easing myself, I would do it right on my bed. It was always my pregnant wife to clean up the mess,” he recalled.

His condition left him dependent on others for care, with his pregnant wife among those who supported him through the difficult period.

Kabyobyo said his journey to Kakande’s church began when a man visited him and offered to take him there, believing that prayers could help him recover.

Initially, he was reluctant to go, saying he had lost hope of getting better. However, after reconsidering the suggestion a few days later, he decided to attend the church for prayers.

He said he arrived at the church premises using two crutches but claimed that, immediately after Kakande prayed for him, he discarded the walking aids and began walking without assistance.

“Since that time to present, I walk on my own, do my training properly and I am doing everything I couldn’t do before,” he said.

Kabyobyo further claimed that doctors had told him he would never return to kickboxing, but that he eventually resumed the sport following the prayers.

“After the prayers by the man of God Prophet Samuel Kakande, I went back to kickboxing and I am absolutely enjoying it,” he said.

He thanked Kakande for praying for him and also acknowledged the support he received from his wife and friends during his recovery.

Kabyobyo’s account remains a personal testimony of his experience. The medical details of his treatment and the claimed recovery following prayer were not independently verified in the account provided.
