TV presenter Momo19, the wife of Ugandan singer Daxx Kartel, has dismissed allegations of infidelity, firmly maintaining that she has never cheated on her husband and has no intention of doing so in the future. The presenter has defended her marriage, insisting that the rumours circulating about her are unfounded.
Speaking about the allegations, Momo19 argued that if she had ever been involved with another man, the information would have spread widely because of how quickly news and gossip travel. She challenged those spreading the rumours to provide evidence of any man who has claimed to have had an affair with her.
The presenter also addressed claims that another man bought her a car, dismissing the allegations and revealing that the vehicle is registered in her names. She questioned why people would assume that she could not afford to buy herself a car through her own efforts.
“I need you to come out and mention at least one man you’ve ever heard saying that they bought me a car,” Momo19 said, challenging those making the claims to substantiate their allegations.
Momo19 explained that she has worked with several organisations in the past, earning money that enabled her to purchase things for herself. She revealed that one of the organisations she worked for paid her a daily allowance of UGX 100,000, in addition to covering her accommodation and meals, while she also received her salary.
“How then do you think I wouldn’t be in a position to buy myself a car?” she questioned, emphasising that her professional engagements have provided her with opportunities to earn money and improve her financial position.
The TV presenter further revealed that one of her greatest fears while growing up was the possibility of cheating on her future husband. She explained that being unfaithful would not only betray her partner’s trust but could also expose their marriage to public embarrassment, something she would find difficult to justify.
Momo19 also highlighted the transparency she maintains in her marriage with Daxx Kartel, revealing that her husband knows whenever she travels or goes somewhere for work. She added that he reads her emails and has met some of her work colleagues, insisting that their relationship is built on openness and that she has nothing to hide from him.
