St. Mary’s College Mayenze has announced a major fee relief programme aimed at giving bright, talented and vulnerable learners a better chance to pursue their education despite financial challenges faced by their families.
Under the initiative, deserving students can receive fee reductions of up to 50 percent, with the school targeting learners who have demonstrated strong academic ability, exceptional talent or are experiencing difficult circumstances that could affect their education.
Primary school leavers are also eligible for the opportunity. Learners who score aggregates between 4 and 14 in the Primary Leaving Examinations can be considered for the bursary when applying to join St. Mary’s College Mayenze.
The school has also introduced a two percent discount for parents and guardians who clear school fees within the first two weeks of the new term. The incentive is intended to encourage timely payment while helping families reduce their education expenses.
Academic excellence will equally be recognised, with students who attain seven or more distinctions eligible to receive either UGX 50,000 in cash or partial sponsorship towards their school fees. The reward is meant to motivate learners to remain focused and perform to their full potential.
In another special provision, the school is offering substantial support to learners who have lost a parent. Students who have lost their fathers will qualify for a 50 percent fee reduction, while those who have lost their mothers will receive a 25 percent reduction.
Beyond academics, St. Mary’s College Mayenze continues to emphasise discipline, character development and spiritual growth. Students participate in daily prayers, Holy Mass and Scripture Union activities alongside classroom learning, sports and talent development.
Parents and guardians interested in admissions or the available fee support programmes can contact St. Mary’s College Mayenze on 0782785625. The school says the initiative is designed to ensure that talented and deserving learners are not forced to abandon their education simply because of financial difficulties.
