NRM Iron Lady Hajjat Namyalo has pleaded with His Excellency the President of Uganda, General Yoweri Museveni, to consider the continued deployment of Sr. Mary Wasagali in public service on account of her exceptional leadership contribution to the NRM party and the country.
Writing to President Yoweri Museveni, Hajjat Namyalo said Sr. Mary Wasagali had served diligently as the Presidential Bearer Elections Supervisor, a role she executed with integrity, professionalism and firm adherence to party guidelines.
She further wrote that, in addition, Sr. Mary’s role as District Coordinator for the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) further reflects her competence in coordinating government programmes, engaging stakeholders and aligning party priorities with service delivery.
“Sr. Mary has also been instrumental in sustaining party mobilisation, providing financial support to party activities and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement. She is the calibre of cadre the NRM requires to safeguard its gains. I request Your Excellency to consider her for continued deployment in public service,” Hajjat Namyalo wrote.
Several stakeholders who spoke to this publication expressed appreciation to Hajjat Namyalo for her strong support for Sr. Mary Wasagali, whom she has supervised under the NRM party.
Former UPM Chairman and former RDC of Kisoro, Victor Wanyoto, said Sr. Mary Wasagali is an asset to Bugisu and Eastern Uganda.
“We credit her for the recent success of the party in Eastern Uganda and for her excellent commitment to the NRM ideology,” Wanyoto said.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Bamasaba Cultural Institution, Steven Masiga, commended the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) for backing Sr. Mary Wasagali for continued deployment in public service.
Masiga said Hajjat Namyalo understands the quality of workers required by the party.
“As a cultural institution, we have worked closely with Sr. Mary Wasagali and Hajjat Namyalo in mobilising Bugisu clan structures to participate in government programmes. As a cultural institution, we work through clans and mobilise every person to benefit from government programmes. We have about three million people in the clans here,” Masiga said.
