KAMPALA, Uganda — Sironko District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Asha Mafabi Nabulo, on Thursday arrived at Parliament to attend the plenary sitting as she continued with her legislative duties.
Nabulo’s attendance comes as Members of Parliament convened for plenary business, where legislators debate matters of national importance, consider proposed legislation, scrutinise government programmes and raise issues affecting their respective constituencies.
The Sironko legislator has maintained an active presence in parliamentary proceedings, where she has participated in discussions on matters affecting Ugandans while representing the interests and concerns of the people of Sironko.
Regular attendance and participation in plenary sessions enable MPs to contribute to national decision-making and ensure that issues affecting their constituents are brought to the attention of Parliament.
Nabulo’s continued engagement in parliamentary business also underscores the role of constituency representatives in shaping legislation, holding government accountable and advocating for the needs of the communities they represent.
