Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has congratulated his younger sister Patience Kokundeka Museveni Rwabwogo following her consecration as a bishop, describing the achievement as well deserved.
Muhoozi shared his message shortly after Patience was officially elevated to the position of Episcopal Bishop of Covenant Nations Church in Uganda and beyond, following years of service in Christian ministry.
In his message, Muhoozi praised his sister’s journey and said he was proud of her achievement, noting that she shares several personal qualities with him.
“I congratulate my baby sister on her well deserved consecration as a bishop. Patience shares a lot of attributes with me,” Muhoozi stated.
The UPDF commander went on to ask for God’s blessings upon Patience and her children, while expressing his commitment to supporting and protecting her.
“May our God, Jesus Christ, bless her and her children. She will always be protected under me,” he added.

Patience’s consecration marked a major milestone after more than two decades of ministry and leadership at Covenant Nations Church.
The ceremony attracted senior religious leaders, government officials, family members and believers who gathered to witness her officially assume the episcopal office.
The event was led by Bishop Dr LaDonna C. Osborn, alongside other senior Christian leaders who participated in the consecration ceremony.
Patience, who founded Covenant Nations Church, has spent years building the ministry and guiding believers through preaching, mentorship and spiritual programmes.
Her new position as bishop represents a new chapter in her religious leadership journey and expands her responsibilities within the church.
Muhoozi’s congratulatory message attracted attention because of the close relationship between the two siblings and the public interest surrounding members of the First Family.
The statement also came amid public discussions about Patience’s achievement, her ministry and the role of her family in supporting her journey.
Her husband, Odrek Rwabwogo, also celebrated the milestone, describing her as someone who had served faithfully and quietly for many years.
Odrek said he had watched her dedicate herself to faith, family and service, adding that her new role came with greater responsibility.
The consecration ceremony recognised Patience’s years of commitment to Christian work and her contribution to the growth of Covenant Nations Church.

For Muhoozi, the occasion was not only a religious achievement but also a proud family moment as he publicly celebrated his sister’s elevation.
His message highlighted the bond between the siblings and his desire to see her succeed in her new responsibilities as a bishop.
The promotion of Patience to bishop has generated discussions across Uganda, with many people congratulating her while others followed the event because of her connection to the country’s leadership.
The ceremony also brought together different figures from Uganda’s political and religious circles, reflecting the public significance of the occasion.
As Bishop Patience begins her new role, attention will now turn to her continued leadership in the church and the responsibilities that come with the episcopal office.
For her family, including Gen Muhoozi, the moment represents a celebration of faith, dedication and a new chapter in Patience’s journey of service.
