If God could avail me with an age remote, I would bring Gen. Museveni’s age to 50 and Gen. Sale to 45

Sometimes I sit down and watch the countless developmental achievements that Uganda is now experiencing since President Museveni ascended to power, then I ask myself: what next after President Museveni? But then the picture of our bad man, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, comes to my mind and I get settled.

But even if my mind gets settled because our bad man, General Muhoozi, is available for us, if God was to give me a remote that would allow me to rewind the pages, the first person whose age I would rewind would be President Museveni, from his current age down to 50 years. Then I would also rewind the age of Gen. Sale from his current age to 45 years, Mama Janet Museveni to 34 years, and Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to 28 years, so that our country remains stable the way it is.

President Museveni’s leadership has made every Ugandan free of everything. It’s only in Uganda where you can move from the North to the East, East to West, and West to South of Uganda without being asked for identity cards at roadblocks.

It’s only in Uganda where a civilian can verbally exchange with an armed soldier, even to the extent of grabbing his gun and even killing him, and he is just handed over to the civilian courts. It’s only in Uganda where a civilian can hijack a soldier’s wife and the soldier just watches and keeps calm. It’s only in Uganda where a civilian can grab the property of a soldier, but the soldier doesn’t react; instead, he also runs to court, which does not happen in any other neighbouring country. It’s because of the leadership of President Museveni, with Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba being the Chief of Defence Forces, that has put order and discipline in the forces.

When you look at what Gen. Sale has done in terms of marketing Uganda, the Parish Development Model originated from Gen. Sale’s brain, whereby every Ugandan can now get Shs 1 million without going through hundreds of paperwork and signing, which used not to happen in previous regimes.

Shs 1 million was only being handled by government-earning officials. Look at Operation Wealth Creation; this also originated from the brain of Gen. Sale. In fact, I can’t count it all. Today, we have multinationals and internationals in Uganda; it’s because of Sale’s brain. Look at the tile factories in Moroto and Kapeka. Honestly, if it was not Gen. Sale, who would know that Karamoja is rich in minerals?

When you look at our bad man, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, rampant fuel theft in the army is now no more. Soldiers dressed like poachers are now no more. Our soldiers are so smart to the extent that the army has now turned into an admired force, where Ugandans are dying to join it without any fear.

Every brigade is now getting a health centre and a school, and civilians are utilising these institutions 99% of the time.

When you go to Mama Janet Museveni, that’s the old mama who has Uganda at heart. Women used to be battered by men, but women have now become multimillionaires through the First Lady’s initiative projects like UWESO, UWEP and many others. Surely, that’s why I have a reason to believe that these people should start afresh to drive Uganda.

It’s unfortunate that the young generation is now starting to enjoy the fruits of their good leadership when they are growing older, something which is bothering me a lot.

The age of the rest can remain, but for the four people, at least, if it was possible, God should just help us to keep them for another 40 years.
