According to Mr. James Mubi, the Kiira Region Police Spokesperson, the commotion erupted when the couple encountered difficulty disengaging from each other after spending the night together. Their intimate encounter had resulted in the man becoming stuck between the woman’s legs, prompting concerns and confusion among onlookers.

“This morning we got information that a couple who had slept at Jojo bar and Lodge in Buwenge town council were stuck inside one another and this was discovered by the worker who had checked on them,” Mr. Mubi explained.

The individuals involved in the incident were both married, as confirmed by Mr. Mubi. The woman hailed from Lugazi zone in Buikwe district, having reportedly left her husband’s home in Mukono to rent a room in Jinja city.

Upon being alerted, the woman’s husband, Mr. Sowali Balikowa, rushed to the scene. Mr. Balikowa expressed his distress over his missing wife and voiced concerns regarding personal documents such as his passport and national identity card reportedly in her possession.

Mr. Balikowa performed a ritual to separate the stuck couple, involving the symbolic act of throwing grass over them, which facilitated their disengagement.

The man involved in the incident tearfully claimed ignorance regarding the woman’s marital status, alleging that she had misrepresented herself as divorced and expressed aspirations of establishing a salon business.
