In her explanation, Chumi said the encounter began while she was travelling in an Uber and recording a video of the road as rain fell. According to her, an SFC vehicle passed by and splashed water onto her, prompting her to approach the vehicle to find out what had happened.

Chumi said the situation initially remained calm when she interacted with the officer. She described the SFC officer as respectful and composed during their exchange, suggesting that there was no confrontation or deliberate attempt by the officer to escalate the situation.

However, she said the atmosphere changed when female passengers who were inside the vehicle began recording her and allegedly insulting her.

According to Chumi, their actions contributed to the tension captured in the widely circulated video, creating an impression that the encounter was more serious than it actually was.

The incident attracted attention online after portions of the interaction were shared on social media, prompting speculation about what had transpired between Chumi and the security personnel.

Chumi also addressed remarks attributed to her during the encounter in which she asked to see President Yoweri Museveni. She explained that the comment should not be interpreted as a formal demand or an indication that she was involved in a serious dispute with the security personnel.

She said the reference to President Museveni was simply a casual remark made in frustration at the time.

Chumi emphasized that she did not consider the incident a major confrontation and appeared keen to dispel interpretations suggesting that she had been involved in a serious altercation with the SFC officer.

Her clarification comes as the video continues to attract discussion online, with social media users drawing different conclusions from the footage.

The explanation provides additional context to the incident, particularly regarding what happened before and during the recording that circulated online.

Chumi’s account also distinguishes between her interaction with the SFC officer, whom she described as calm and respectful, and the conduct of the female passengers whom she said recorded and insulted her.

She has consequently urged the public not to attach unnecessary significance to the encounter, maintaining that what happened was essentially a minor incident that became amplified after the video was shared online.
