I want to comment the several organs established to fight against Corruption in Uganda, for surely corruption has left our country in the level of depletion, my special thanks goes to the President of the republic of Uganda General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for championing the fight against this deadly corruption.
As a Ugandan, the Constitution of Uganda protects me with my own opinion and am entitled it and any one can come out and challenge it in away of shading light on it.
I really want to express myself on IGG I really want to know who are the people leading investigations into the cases under IGG, did they go for investigations training, like what our police and intelligence forces do.but what’s in IGG its all about investigations, relate evidence with crime of scene is that also happeing with the officials in charge investigations in IGG office.
I personally witness many cases arising from corruption especially in local governments reported to IGG but they die a natural death even when the evidence is in place.
I remember there was a regional IGG in north eastern Uganda some few years, a corruption case was reported to them about an officer of local government who had embezoled funds, the suspect was summoned after their inside discussion, the IGG officer was eating together with the suspect in one table in the hotel and that was the end of the case.
I have also come across copies of files sent to IGG in Karamoja about failed projects under ministry of agriculture where over she 47bn was mismanaged in the construction of Nakonyen dam but till now no report has been made publicly over that.
There’s a particular case involving ministry of works officials, where IGG did two seperate investigations but till now no report has been made public. What i have learnt is that they now going to do what they call forensic audit is this not a hiden move to keep already people who should be culprits in the office.
I want categorically say IGG your branching to a wrong direction, your getting lost come back and start doing your independent job otherwise Ugandans soon will never and never respect your investigations.
What I have realised your doing now it’s targeted investigations on inocent people with the influence of the corrupt individuals.
There’s no way you can recommend the interdication and dismissals of junior officials who are not decision makers and you leave the people responsible for designing, preparing biding documents and do the negotiations of the Costs for roads works.
In the case of ministry of works, why are you still keeping commissioner of roads Mr Isaac Wani in the office, why can’t he step aside for proper investigations becsuse the whole mess happening in the ministry of works originates from him. I don’t care Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has empowered us the youth to expose and fight corruption am going to release even the report on some of your in IGG who are getting Compromised over this.
Details will follow.
