Last week, when I wrote my opinion suggesting that if God could give me a remote to rewind the age of President Museveni, Mama Janet Museveni, General Salim Saleh and General Muhoozi Kainerugaba to their youthful age, for them to continue providing peace in Uganda, I received a lot of insults from shortsighted Ugandans who like pretending a lot.

To me, those are the only people who don’t hold personal things against anyone. Since Mzee has said he is forgiving the former Speaker, he has spoken it from the bottom of his heart. I know some clique of selfish Iteso leaders will want to take credit for that, but I want to thank Mama Janet Museveni for her heart that felt for Mzee that there was a need to forgive Anita, and indeed Mzee listened to her.

Thank you, Mama Janet, for your motherly heart. Thank you, Papa Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for your heart. Thanks to our badman, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, for your generous heart.

I would also, in my own opinion, request that the same forgiveness be extended to Chris Obore and the team who are facing corruption charges because the charges they are facing were a result of directives from the former Speaker, who has now been forgiven.

To the former Speaker, Anita Among, in case you come out as Mzee has forgiven you, reflect on who your true friends are. You spent a lot of money supporting MPs and LCVs against some innocent people, but all of them disappeared from you. I know now they will come pretending to have been on your side. If you listen to them, problems will still knock on your door.

There are others who claimed to be for you, yet they never defended you in the media. Now they are busy jumping up, saying, “Watch me.” For me, I call a spade a spade. Mzee will forgive you, but what about the people who feel your actions left them desperate? How are you going to reconcile with them?

For me, whether you will hate me or like me, the choice will be yours. But it is better for me to speak my mind than to listen to those who pretend while digging a grave for you. Likely, you have seen them. They are waiting for you to be allowed to move freely, and they will come with their matokes, fish, chicken, anointing oils and many other things, trying to convince you not to demand your money that they took during campaigns. No way—get your money.

Again and again, when you are out, all eyes will be watching you. Be careful with your statements, be careful with whom you will scratch, and be careful about whom you will talk to.

Take this simple advice or leave it, but remember, your coming out will mark the end of the issues surrounding you.

Thanks, Mama Janet. Thanks, Jaja Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and thanks to our badman, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, for your generous hearts.
