During the operation, various tools believed to be used in criminal activities were seized along with items belonging to victims. The effort aimed to disrupt the gang’s activities and recover stolen goods.

According to Julius Caesar Tusingwire, the Police commander for the Bukedi South region, the operation was prompted by a rise in crimes targeting the bodaboda industry. Several bodaboda riders were killed, and others injured, with numerous motorcycles stolen.

During the operation, 12 motorcycles with Ugandan plates replaced by Kenyan ones were recovered, along with additional items such as knives, pangas, and chemical substances thought to be used in attacks.

The Police also recovered motorcycle spare parts, mobile phones, clothing with bloodstains, and personal belongings of victims. Numerous individuals, including women, were arrested and taken to Tororo Central Police Station for processing.
